Thanks...would be nice if you could include what each video link is "about", though!

Samsung EEPROM reset:Samsung LE37A556P1F Flashing red light

http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpos...0&postcount=77

"8 pin SMD EEPROM on the bottom of the board, close to where the CI card slot is.

Most of the time it's from Atmel, so it will have ATML followed by a cryptic datecode in the first line.
2nd line should be either (AT)24C256B or "2EB1" (which is Atmel's cryptic way of saying it's a 24C256B)

You need to short out the clock and data pins (pin 5 and 6). Even without the datasheet handy they're easy to identify cause they always have 100ohm SMD resistors connected to them. Otherwise see attached pic.

Solder 2 relatively long wires to those pins and put the board back in place and connect it all up. Plug the powercord in and when it tries to start up (blinking power LED), short those wires for a few secs. Might take a few tries. Unplug the set, remove the short and grab your remote.

Now plug it in again. It should stay in standby.. If not, try turning it off (solid LED).
Then start the TV up in service mode. You do this with the remote. In order, press INFO, MENU, MUTE, POWER. The TV should start up and display the service menu on top of everything else.

Go into the "Option table" menu, make sure "Tuner" is set to AUTO and "Store Demo" is OFF (use the arrow keys and enter, menu button goes back).
Then do a Factory Reset. TV should turn off after a while."

Outstanding guides!!
Just got an element TV with white coloration. You can see menus and what not.
Will do the testing but after a very basic review of the guys my gut tells me it is possibly the Tcon board.
Thank you for your hard work!

You should start a new tread with the make and model, the pictures of what is showing on the screen, the pictures of the whole backside of the TV. It sounds like you have bad GAMMA IC problem on the T-CON that will cause washed out pictures on the screen.
Washed out picture samples of bad GAMMA IC on the T-CON board.

The Anode of the LED string is connected to the output of the boosted converter, the Cathode of the last LED string is connected to the Drain of the PWM MOSFET, the SOURCE pin is connected to one end of the current sensing resistor, the other end is then connected to the boosted converter ground return.
The example shows 4 strings, two strings are connected in series to form one long string, so there are two long strings with two LED drivers.
