Re: Toshiba 37" inverter board failure

You can verify if the 24V line from the power supply is feeding into the IN pin of the IC, last time you checked, it did not have 24V feeding the IC.

Re: Toshiba 37" inverter board failure

ok bud i replaced both ce901 ce92 caps and the ic that i think is qe90 cuz leg pin 2 did connect to the 24v line at the connector and i also replaced the zener diode de91 but still show a short...Now there is a set of 3 transistors on a heat sink if i go to the 24v on the connector pin it makes continuity with 2 of the transistors on both boards then when i test the other 2 legs on the transistors on my board with red on 24v pin and black on transistor legs in diode mode i touch it and it starts counting up then hits 1 on two of the transistors and both legs now on the board i bought same test it counts up and stops at 1033 on both never hitting 1 so is the ones on my board bad? could they be causing the short?

see pic with blue lettering of my board

ok well the answer is no i took them out of circuit and they test fine but in circuit different ball game and even with them removed it is not shorting out but i put the other ones in from the other board and the short is bad.. now 1 of the legs connect with a cap electrolytic cap can a cap cause a short if it is bad? its not bulging but i know that dont mean it is good

So your replacement board is bad, I hope you can return it. Using the external 12VDC 1.5A regulated power supply to power the T-CON is one of the option, I do not believe that the 12V power supply in this TV can handle the power amp and the extra 1.2A load form the T-CON for too long. You can get buck regulator module to drop convert the 24V to 12V.

Re: Toshiba 37" inverter board failure

i got a partial refund of the board because i started taking parts off it so out of the 55 he refunded 30 and i spent all day swapping out all those parts and testing and removing and testing and finally i just had enough. i have wayy too many other tv's sitting here to work on i spent enough time on this tv thanks for the link on the buck converter im gonna have to pick on up.. that's it for this thread on my part on to the next tv

                      hello
i am having problems with the same invertor board.

                      I have changed the BD9897 , the 4 mosfets and the 2 680uf/35v
                      BUT still no image

i have the 24V, and i noticed that when power up there is a blue led on the invertor board that flashes 2 times.

i have 5v on the on/off pin, on the Status pin i have 1,8v for one second , then it goes to 0v

any ideea what shoud i check next?
