    aspire 5532 screen replace...

Hello, everyone. my sister has got an aspire 5532 laptop, and the screen is brutally cracked, and she was thinking of replacing the screen itself (it such is possible) How would sh go about doing so?

Yes it is possible. There are tons of video's on youtube. Take out the batt. and power cord before you start disassembling.

      Yup. That's a good video

Note, though, that I do NOT advise using an electric cordless drill to do up the screws, as it will almost always over-tighten them and strip the thread. Just use a small philips screwdriver and you'll be fine

Also, there are CCFL and LED backlight versions of that laptop. You'll need to make sure you get the correct screen, as the connectors are different. CCFL backlights have larger main connector and a separate two wire connector for the inverter, where as LED backlights do not.

I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards
