Re: Corsair Gs 600 Gaming Series PSU help
This is my two cents worth on this power supply
All replacement capacitors need to be from a well known brand manufacturer this is a must for a long life of the switching power supply
I would recommend that you replace all capacitor that have value that are less than 100uf at a minimum
If you plan on using this power supply for many years I would recommend that you replace all capacitor except for the main capacitor
This I what I do with this type of switching power supply board
I would also recommend that you make sure that the fan and fan controller work correctly and there are no issues with these two items
Then you need to make sure that you have the right voltage on each power rail
3.00 volts 5.00 volts 12.00 volts - 12.00 volts these values should not be more than ( + ) or ( - ) 0.50 volts in either direction this is maximum value lower than this would be better
One final note you have a problem on the gray wire what is this wire ( this value is way out of specks )
All your other values are a little higher than what I like to see in a computer switching power supply
I would like to see values in the range of no more 0.20 (+) or (-) in either direction less would be even better
Now sometimes you will see the 12.00 volt rail with a voltage of 11.5something which is the only power rail that is expectable value with some switching power supply as long as all the other power rails are in specks
Then you should be ready to rock and roll
I hope this helps you
