hi, thank you for reply! No I haven't because I did assume they are fine, I will test them tomorrow morning first thing, I read you message just now but for me is late, early morning tomorrow. But I will be very unlucky to have 3 different set of buffers all faulty, the seller guaranty me that were working, they come from smashed TV (he said) but never know...Anyway I'll test them and let you know! but honestly I think it has something alse wrong....ciao

Re: LG 50PC56 keep burn Buffers Boards

When a plasma panel is shattered while running it shorts internally and sometimes kill the buffers, y-sus and/or z-sus, also if it is powered on while the screen is broken.

That said, always test the buffers before powering on the TV, in your case the Y-SUS or logic board may be bad.

There's this thread which the Y-SUS made an effect that is very similar to buffer failure, I had no idea and recommended a logic board swap to the user.

pretty sure its pins 1 and 2 on these sets also think you have to dissconnect the cable between the main and control board maybe wait for another member to confirm its the rite procedure

That's it, shorting the AUTO_GEN pads on the logic board with the LVDS cable disconnected, the TV will start on with a black screen the jump between colors and patterns each 2 seconds or so.

I have read the post, but I can't understand, is the pin 1 from left to right or right to left? Sorry for my ignorance I try to fix this TV but as you can see I'm not a TV repair but I like to learn

Doesn't look like it, the horizontal lines are the cables not properly inserted or the buffer boards being damaged, the bad image is from the Y-SUS, something is damaged.
There's a single vertical line in one of the pictures, that could be not reversible, or just part of the pattern since it does not appear in the other photos.

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                                  by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
                                  by ttmi100x
                                  Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

                                  Upon closer inspection...

Apple M1 Boards & Exclamatory Error?
                                  by ugamazing
We've now created a stack of 10 boards that have the same issue, which we suspect to be CPU-related. The issue is very simple--the board will not boot to anything, only showing the exclamatory sign inside a circle. No amount of DFU/restore, wipe/erase, etc, will resolve the issue. No boards have physical damage. We went ahead and replaced the SSD nands on two boards (one 02020, one 02016) and the issue remained exactly the same. We are considering replacing the CPU on one of the boards using a locked CPU, just so we can see if it resolves the issue.

Has anyone else run into this...

Best place to source RAM chips? 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB
                                  by ugamazing
I'm looking to upgrade several 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB for personal use. I am curious what the best practice and process is for sourcing new replacement chips, and what vendor(s) you guys prefer? Another question is, how do I find compatible chips and their corresponding part/model numbers? For example, in the 820-00850 schematic, the DDR chip U2600 model listed (EDFB232A1MA) corresponds to 1x32GB chip. Of course, I would need 4x8GB chips to replace the 4x2GB chips currently on the board. How do I find compatible 8GB chips? Is it as simple as searching "BGA178 8GB 2133"...

LG 42PC3 buffer output doesn't follow YSUS

LG42PC3D -UD originally with green lamp but no display or audio.
Owner says was working, then went 'pop'.
                                  All 5V caps bulging. replaced.
All PSU output voltages within spec but -Vy is low on YSUS.
One of three parallel fets between SUS_OUT and SUS_DN is zenering,
eventually shorts DG. Replaced all 3 - -Vy now OK.

Y scan buffer test point does not follow YSUS output below -50V

Note: This unit seems to expect YSUS output to park at -Vy in between
drive signal pattern periods. A replacement drive signal board confirms this....
