Using mainboard from a TV of different model

    Hi All,

My Sony bravia xbr55x810c got stuck bootlooping. Tried to install firmware with a usb. It starts the update but at ~5 min when the progress is ~20% it restarts again. I dont know about much technical stuff. All I did was open the main board and heat it up with a blow dryer hoping something would change.

But it seems to be a very common problem where main board replacement is required? But I can't afford to throw money on a new board atm so I found someone throwing away their Sony bravia xbr55x850c because of broken screen/panel. I was wondering if I can the 850c board?

I am aware the boards are different. 810c uses T-217-001-0 whereas 850c uses A-2082-564-C and the shapes are a little different but the underlying connectors seem to be the same

Sorry if this is a weird question. I'm a real noob but willing to put in the time and effort. I can get a multimeter and measure any voltages if needed. But I would need guidance on what to measure. The only experience I have is with breadboards and not PCBs but I'll do my best

May have a bad nand memory chip with a bad block.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

If you can get 850c, I suggest the following.
Put both TV close to each other.
Connect T-con cables from main board of 850c to T-Con of 810c.
Turn on both TV's an see if you can get the image on 810c.

don't get that tv, adjustements with different boards are exclusiverly for ery high end technicians, not for you, these are tricks to trash moneys and useful boards for someone else...
