The title is wrong, the marking is:ON 724
    I apologize for the mistake

What is it used in? Make , Model, maybe you have a schematic? I see this is not a picture of your component

maybe email philips and ask them for a datasheet

I found nothing on ON724 Philips transistor, it must be a house number as Philips power transistors are usually prefixed BU, BUS, BUZ etc.
Did see same "date code" on a BUS14A. OP's pic looks like a clone from aliexpress but store 15814935579 does not exist.
BUY72-4 has "724" as vert. defl. tranny.

I found something that says that it is a mosfet but I could not find a data sheet for it
            9 PC LCD Monitor
            6 LCD Flat Screen TV
30 Desk Top Switching Power Supply
10 Battery Charger Switching Power Supply for Power Tool
6 18v Lithium Battery Power Boards for Tool Battery Packs
1 XBox 360 Switching Power Supply and M Board
            25 Servo Drives 220/460 3 Phase
6 De-soldering Station Switching Power Supply 1 Power Supply
            1 Dell Mother Board
            15 Computer Power Supply
1 HP Printer Supply & Control Board * lighting finished it *

These two repairs where found with a ESR meter...> Temp at 50*F then at 90*F the ESR reading more than 10%

1 Over Head Crane Current Sensing Board ( VFD Failure Five Years Later )
2 Hem Saw Computer Stack Board

All of these had CAPs POOF
All of the mosfet that are taken out by bad caps

              Re: transistor ON 724 PHILIPS

Thank you for your prompt replies. The ON724 is mounted in an old oil burner control board that works well. Unfortunately, I no longer have that board. I'll see if I can post a photo. I just wanted to know the features of this component not having found the datasheet. The electronics of this card are very dated. In addition to the ON724 there is another transistor but in a TO5 container that starts with ON but I don't remember the rest of the initials.
I found this link on the net

I agree, it is likely a custom/in house number for the company that made the controller

                  Re: transistor ON 724 PHILIPS

For an oil burner controller, the only specialty power transistor that I can think of would be for the igniter. In the mid-80's a high voltage Darlington was used like old MJ10012, BU941ZPFI
The ones with built-in clamp zener are best for when the spark gap gets too big, the transistor is protected.

Unless the burner board uses CDI HV inverter or mains for the ignition?
The fuel solenoid valve does not need that much current.
