Is there a test point, TP1017 near CPU? If yes, check voltage.
Is there U1008? If yes, check voltage on pins 2 and 4.
Is wifi slot CN3? If yes, check voltage on pins 8, 17 and 19.

I just want to say thanks to @atsio for posting the schematic on 05-09-2014 and share my fix, so maybe help somebody


I have this old HP Mini 110 that was abandoned for years, it was completaly dead even from battery and AC, so I found it yesterday and decide take another look.

I knew that I had a bad PCB charger, but did not want to spend money on it.
I took my time to google a bit and found this forum and the schematic from @atsio that was a perfect match.

From my analysis looking at the datasheet of BQ24721 and the circuit on page 50, I figured out that was missing the 6 Volts on REGIN pin, it was measuring 0 Volts.

So I realized that had to be C2017 in short and "voila", it was in short, this is a 1uF tiny ceramic capacitor, unfortunately, I had to replace for one with the double of it size. but worked.

The computer is alive again.
