    Toshiba Satelite S50-B-15N PSPQEE (DABLIDMB8E0 Rev:E)

    Hello to all,

Strange situation to a laptop that i have.

It was turning on , without any screen post bios etc. so i figured i saw 2 times in the past that the particular laptop line, had issues with GPU.

There is a way to make the descrete to UMA. By removing a coil which i did.
Also ,it had broken update bios , and the chip was not recognisable.

So i made both changes. Removed the Coil ,and updated the BIOS from S50-B chip that i had bought.

The laptop turned on ,posted , in screen windows, stressed test restarted and it didn't show screen again.

I changed back the Winbond 64 , chip just to be sure about the situation and still nothing.

I am pretty sure that the problem occurs from the BIOS File.

So i am posting here the "original dump which was from the broken BIOS Chip ,which wasn't even recognisable by the programmer".

How can i find the specific bios for the specific bios ?
    (UMA)

      Thank you for the reply.

But again i burned the 25winbond,and no post yet.

Quick question this is on the U18.

Should there be anything left in the U17 (EC Rom ? )

Maybe i should write there as well ?

        post your EC bios also
        Flash both at a time
possible version mismatch or ec region is faulty
and check what voltage do you have on bios chip on pin 8 use the same

Thanks for the reply. I am trying but i can't read it. I mean , i put the chip 24 , to the "ch341a spi programmer" that i have and i cannot read it. I mean ,you press read, and the chip doesn't show anything on it.

Do we have ,another option ?

Are you using clip or de solder it ?

de-solder of course, to make sure that the connection is good. But it remains empty .
Should i try to "burn in" another chip that i have on the side ? 32Mbit, with 8 legs.

Does anyone have any other clue what i should do ?

I cannot think of anything else, i have tested like 6-7 BIOS different.
The 24 SOIC , is also changed many times.
But so far,no post. Only Power ON.

It drives me vrazy , that it was turning on , with another chip from L50-B and now it doesn't turn on ,not even with that.
