![]() Picked this up from thrift store. I get no power when pressing power button. I tested the power switch and I'm getting 124v coming out of the power switch pcb board going to the transformer when the power button is engaged. I looked for fuses or "open" fusible resistors. There are no fuses and none the fusible resistors are "open". I didn't see anything burned, etc on any of the boards. I suppose my next step would be to test the 6 wires coming off of the transformer? Can anyone tell me how to do that?
Here's the service manual... https://www.vintageshifi.com/reperto...ice-Manual.pdf THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!! Ps...one odd thing I did notice was that there's a wire ring/lug screwed onto the metal of the cd transport assembly that has had its wire snipped off. The manual shows that wire going to one of the screws securing the main pcb board to the bottom chassis in the area of the power supply. |

![]() Check the DC voltages in the power supply: +5v +9V -5v -9v +12v

![]() I haven't tested anything with AC power applied beyond the AC voltage output of the power switch pcb.
I have used my dmm to test continuity of the two sets of three wires coming off of the AC transformer, with power off, to chassis ground. I noticed one set of wires (blue, red and brown in the picture I posted) are connected to the chassis ground, while the other set of three are not. Does that help? |

![]() As far as the two transistors mounted to the heatsink in the power section, I put my dmm in diode mode...i placed one lead on the center pin of each device and the other lead on the outer pins. I got roughly .50v on the outer pins of one and roughly .60v on the outer pins of the other one. This was with AC power off.

![]() With the negative meter lead (black) on the chassis, Check the DC voltage at JP107 (+9vdc) and then at JP108 (-9vdc) etc.
