i think that tweezer soldering station its useless.
just buy a smaller tip for your station.
with half of that money i got 3 station with 3 different power on them.

I do not have experiance with such tools.
Even so, I can offer as suggestion the link of one e-shop closer to your country with good pricing, as another one alternative source.

i think this will make remove SMD easy but i see now that this is waste of money, DJ you are right. Current i have one solder iron so i will buy one stand alone and put on it smaller tip.

What about those microscope, what tool are you using guys?

Working with SMD is similar to be a dentist, you do not need just small tools, you need tools having the correct potentials.
Your plain soldering iron is not enough.
Its up to your budget the decision of getting an true work horse like the AT90DH, which is all that you will ever need as soldering station in our times.

The requirements in specifications for hand soldering are offered by the industry.

No matter if you are hobbyist or professional the needs in tools when working with SMD are identical.
Your only choice is if you will pay the ticket so to get what is needed.

For 300$ you can get a hakko fx888 and an ebay hot air 858d. You should still have plenty left over for supplies. that's my setup and so far I have been very happy with iT.

Hot tweezers should be way down on your list unless you have a specific use in mind.

KGR: you will be dissapointed in the performance of those import soldering iron tips. They transmit heat really slowly.

When you will test and see the benefits of those new soldering stations with dynamic temperature recovery you will be amazed too.

The specific ATTEN solution in 2014 are available in EU for 145EUR shipped all over Europe.
Which is one unseen bargain.

Currently I feel eager to review the AT-MS-800D which is based on identical technology and comes with more features.

AT-MS-800D is not released yet in the market.
My source told me that suggested retail will be close to 700$.
Date of release is kept as secret.

hi, for tweezer, i dont think they are usefull. maybe just for big component. for the scope ill go for the amscope. as far im not in the usa, i have to add big ship costs and duty and vat to it so for example:
http://www.ebay.it/itm/AmScope-20X-S...1de8d#shpCntId

this one will costs me about 200€ ship and all included to italy. it's a 20x and should be more the enought.

if u need a scope you are going to do small things. ill get it for macbook repair (not foundamental but it's a good thing to have) for now i have a very cheap 20x glass but i have to keep solder iron very close to my face

instead of tweezer ill go for a good hot air station (atten or ayoue) and wth a ir rework station (if you want to do phone or small things).

Edit: ill add to my work stuff a ultrasonic cleaner, and a professional psu (about 100€ the cleaner and 80€ the psu)

hope that help
