![]() Have two dead out of four power supply for (4) FLUKE 43B.
The resistance reading on the two power prongs shows open circuit. Open up the module, you will need security bit, and found hair line crack on the circuit board. Too bad that FLUKE did not spec in fiberglass PCB to build this power supply. Fixed the broken traces and added epoxy to the PCB to help supporting the board.

![]() Hope you swapped out that "Stone" brand cap. They have all the longevity of a croissant at a feminist buffet.

![]() Very disappointing for Fluke. Then again, after seeing CapXon in a Tektronix signal generator, I'm not too surprised.
My Rigol scope uses Epcos caps, even though it is made and designed in China, they are OK caps. Not the best, but far from the worst...

![]() Epcos is not a reliable brand. I've seen Dave Jones claim they are, but he's wrong.

I have reasonable confidence in them. I doubt they're as good as a Rubycon or Panasonic, but I wouldn't call them unreliable. I've never seen one go bad. |

![]() Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised they are made in Germany and not China.
