    Sharp Aquos PN-LE801 shutting down

    Hello,

I have a Sharp TV that is powering on with backlight and picture then after 5 seconds it turns off. The front LED blinks after shutting down.

I checked the power board voltages and have 12v, 5v and 3.3v on the standby when first turned on then the STB goes down to 1.4v after a second.

Where should I go from here?

Damaged, dry capacitors in the power supply of the standby power line. You have to measure ESR and you will know.

I have checked them all with the ESR meter.

In that case, the protection is triggered and the TV goes into standby and blinks showing the fault code. Usually it is a faulty backlight diode in the led strip.
