I have Sharp MX3100n printer that recently developed a fault and duplicates either yellow or magenta colour as shadow on all documents printed on either thick 1 or thick 2 papers. Please, can anyone help me discern what the fault is? Some techs have not been able to truly say what the fault is. Thanks.

Re: SHARP MX3100N duplicating yellow and magenta colours
It seems that it may be caused by misaligned heads. Some printers usually have an automatic alignment system. I have never used color toner printers, so I can't tell you exactly how to fix it.
Maybe, if you go into print properties on a PC, you will see an option similar to "Align ink cartridges". Some printers usually print a template and then you need to scan it to allign the cartridges
