    HP Probook 650 G1

    HP Probook 650 G1

CAPS lock and NUM lock blinks 5 times, there is a POST and hangs after that.

Changed the BIOS, changed RAM, no result/no change.

    Any thoughts, please?

Have you tried a different CPU fan?

If this doesn't work, then the system board has probably failed.

I see POST, then the flashing starts and hangs.

I will look at Fan and supply voltages.

        Thanks all

          Hi

You must probably try to clean me Intel region from your bios. If you can not do it self. Put your biosfile with external programmer in bios section. Ask there for to clean your bios and program it back to your board. Tip desolder bios to read the bios. I have the same working laptop here right now.

          Good luck

          Regards Steve

                Update:

                CPU changed; no result

Disassembled the lot, disconnected all FPC cables; got a CMOS RESET Alert, reconnected all, after that problems gone!

Turns out it was the ODD thats generates the error and hangs the system
