300Mbit access points slowing down to 150Mbit with 150Mbit Wireless-N client?

You may be aware that there are some 150Mbit Wireless-N access points and clients out there, and it can be hard to tell if a Wireless-N client (especially printers, multifunction units and handheld devices) is 150Mbit or 300Mbit, until you buy it and connect it to your 300Mbit Wireless-N network.
With that in mind, will a 300Mbit Wireless-N network operate in 150Mbit mode for all connected 300Mbit Wireless-N clients if at least one 150Mbit Wireless-N client is connected?
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

Dual bad radio and lock the 150mbit clients out of the N band. Make them use 802.11g or b. For a printer or handheld its enough.
