watch what happens now when tv lies on the table but it does not light up continuously, it lights up and goes out as if it were giving a code
here are some pictures
sorry all my measurements were not right because i forgot to have all the cables in their proper place now they are right
on number 2 on the contact and top row 260v
on number 2 bottom row I hart 160v
on number 1 top row 346v
on the bottom row 246v
and now the picture back
OK, so the LED string #1 and #2 are connected in series to form one large string.
If you look at the output Voltage as printed board, you will see that the LED power supply is rated at 200V 520mA, right now you are seeing over 300V because the power supply is not seeing the load, so you have open circuit some where in the LED circuit path.
Do you have LED tester for testing the LED strings?
BTW:
Pin 1 (1+) and 3 (1+) are tied together, they are Anode pins for LED string #1.
Pin 7 (1-) and pin 9 (1-) are tied together, they are Cathode pins for LED string #1.
Pin 2 (2+) and 4 (2+) are tied together, they are Anode pins for LED string #2.
Pin 8 (2-) and pin 10 (2-) are tied together, they are Cathode pins for LED string #2.
Your report in your post #27 does not make any sense because the pins assignment are 1+, 1-, 2+, and 2-, you do not indicate what the 1+, 1-, 2+, 2- readings are.
Now the things goes better, the main problem is the backlight but have you noticed that also the screen matrix is defective (black vertical bar)? is it worth repairing? You better contact an electrician to install a surge discharger in the electrical circuit breaker panel.... and sell the beast fort parts...
One moment, it returns in my mind a very similar case, it was some months ago here, if i remember well the user had found a visibly burnt side screen tab/cof...
Hello and thank you all for helping me.
budm:I could not figure out what was on the label above the contact
because it's the first time for me with such tv plus I'm not a technician except I try and learn through your wonderful help.
Davi.p:that's exactly what I usually do. when I saw that this nice TV almost worked then hoped that maybe it was possible to fix for myself to use because I can not afford such stuff.
budm,Davi.p,Davi.p:the conclusion is it possible to repair or wasted time?
Davi.p:thanks for the reference i will check it out
So you have picked it up for repair? Check the link well, it spoke about a broken corner after failed led replacement, not the best start, my advice after many years of this sort of business, two question to always make are if the tv is already been serviced because this reveals often bad surprices if you don't want to go mad, the second if you are not a smoker ask if the previous he was, the smell of them is really disgusting!!!
thanks for the answers but it does not give me the final answer can it be repaired or not? and if it does where should I test? very grateful for all the help
