love you man ..! you saved my day. lot of works... shorted ec and undoing other person's faults and last thing he has done erasing the flash. Tested your bios and it worked on MXIC original flash was xmc. keep up the good works.

I have the same problem, the two bios posted are 16mb while mine is on a 64 chip and is 8mb?
The laptop bugged during an official update that I had to do because I had problems booting (ME corrupted?) I access the bios which seems to have done the update, but no more boot...
If someone can look at it and tell me I'm interested, I put the original

I got it like that I didn't change the chip and the bios provided is the one that was on it after the bios update, and I had been able to do my Windows installation with everything functional before doing this update!

Whats the part number on top of the bios chip. Look at the attached picture, on the left is the bios update from acer with only 8MB selected (of the 16) 0 - 7FFFFF ,on the right is the code at the end of your bios, both have the same code.I think you or the programmer have selected the wrong chip.If it really does have an 8MB chip replace it with a 16MB

yes..consider item # 18 and install a 16 MB chip..write it with this content extracted from the Acer site update ...

So thank you, in fact when I said that it was a 64mo chip it was because the programmer detected it as such...!
But no, it's a 128MB chip!
I understand better the problem of the bios, I will change it and install the bios provided.
Sorry I was a bit stupid...
