Hello,
I have a Dell 3008WFP monitor that I disassembled to replace any bad capacitors. After reassembly, the monitor turns on but immediately starts to cycle through simple colored screens; red, yellow, blue, black and white. From my internet search it appears that the monitor has entered a "burn in" mode. I tried all the different button push combinations that were recommended to enter a service menu but none worked. My question is, could this be caused by a hardware issue; an improperly seated connector or something else. Does anyone else have any experience with a monitor entering this mode after reassembling it? Is there an internal switch that detects that the display has been opened. The monitor is many years out of warranty so getting help from Dell is not available.
Thanks,
Dwight
