On the recent sale I've ordered a new Aixun T3A with the T245 soldering pen and it comes with the fancy pen holder. Wonder if anyone has one and if your happy with it? It's got some decent reviews. On YouTube a guy compared it with the JBC and results were pretty darn good fur such a cheap rig.
Anyone tried or got the Aixun T3A with the T245 pen?

stj, you still did pretty darn good with those items. I didn't even know about that Radtel. Dang! Yep, I picked up that Aixun T3A on that sale and I've got me two Shelly plus one's. One of them is going into my air exchanger

I guess that depends on what I am going to control with the Shelly. The one that goes on my air exchanger, probably not. I just want it to run on a schedule. The second one I am going to play with for a while. This one I am going to at least try Tasmota and see how that goes.Comment

Re: Anyone tried or got the Aixun T3A with the T245 pen?
Finally my Aixun T3A arrived. Pretty impressive little thing for its size and heats up in 3 seconds flat. Haven’t used it on any serious soldering job yet, but on all the things I used it it on so far it worked really good. If there is anything bad I can say about it so far is putting the foam on the T3A handle.Comment

Re: Anyone tried or got the Aixun T3A with the T245 pen?
well, the radtel is surprisingly good - and very compact!
but the charger is a joke and it's psu - lets just say hell-no!
psu is well built but the transformer is 12mm square - no way i'm trusting the seperation/isolation on that!
the charger base uses descrete current limiting and has a voltage reference and comparater to control the led colour!!
it's also only 400mA so slow as fuck.
i already stripped the board and added a TP5100 module for controlled 1A chargingComment

I have also a new projects on my to do list. One of them is to convert an AliExpress UV eraser that works on 220V over to 110V using the voltage doubler trick with a full bridge rectifier and 2 capacitors.Comment

by tony359Hi all,
I've just purchased an Aixun T3A T245 soldering station and I am pretty happy with it, coming from a Hakko knockoff.
However, I purchased a genuine JBC tip and the temp massively overshoots with it. I can see a similar behaviour with the Aixun tips but not so horrible.
With the JBC tip on the thermometer I see the temp more or less stable but slowly dropping. At some point there is a 100% power spike and the registered temp goes +40C from where it was - obviously the display doesn't show anything!
Is this "expected"?... -
by cheeky2For anyone interested just repaired this Sony Main board TV that had a 2 blink error code, the chassis is a RB2G which is common to quite a few different Sony models. The Ceramic 10uF 25V X7R 1206 capacitor C9114 was shorted which took the smd 2A 0603 fuse out F9101. This was powering the Buck converter TPS54332 which caused no 5V output from it.
See the attached picture of the locations of both components. I also attach the best service manual I found for this board for anyone else in a similar position of trying to repair this main board. It's not specific to the TV model however it gives...01-08-2024, 05:56 AM -
by SudoerI've seen enough reviews of AIXUN T420D on YouTube and decided to try it. One handle defective from the inside, ruined 3 JBC tips, just destroyed the plastic on the tips. One stand does not work, the soldering handle not drop the temperature. Because the seller refused to return the money, and AliExpress supported him and even PayPal did not help, I can disassemble this piece of shit and see what inside, if anyone is interested. The seller said that the station does not work with JBC handles, but I checked that it works. It's just a pity to connect the original handle to this shit. Beware of order...

by Th3_uN1Qu3I know, this comes in late, Big Clive did a video on them a couple years ago, but it is just last year that the disposables market has exploded here and I literally only have to walk for 5 minutes to find at least one.
On one hand, 5 of the cheapest disposables will buy you a basic pod vape which is 100x better and the replacement pods are half the price of a disposable once you burn the heater, but on the other, they are getting better (I'm starting to see better builds, ends that don't just fall off but are actually quite stubbornly fit and 550mAh instead of 300mAh batteries on... - Loading...
