Thanks for the heads up on the fake brass wool. It was on my list to replace, but maybe not for a while longer until I find some legit stuff.
redwire: kapton tape for shielding nearby parts. I also have some thin strips (20-30mm) of aluminum and stainless that I sometimes use.
