HELP: Asus X407UBR USB 2.0 issue

I wonder how to fix this laptop.
The USB 3.0 is working but 2.0 is not detected.
The bios side show no usb port

The output on the USB 2.0 port is 5V.

also, when you plug a 2.0 devices on the 3.0 port, no response at all.
Only 3.0 devices are being recognized by the machine

USB Device Not Recognized on the yellow triangle .
Unknown USB Device (Port reset Failed ) on the device manager

Hi. How many USB ports on this model?

Have you tested each USB port? Same issue?

Confirm if you have the latest bios on the logic board. You may need a working USB 3.0 thumb drive to reflash the bios firmware.

Load bios defaults, in case the bios has been configured to USB 3.0 mode only.

It is odd if all USB ports are not able to use slower USB devices. Also the ports should appear in the bios, unless they have been disabled. Check for this first.

You may have damage to the USB 2.0 interface lines.

Can you access the logic board and remove the battery for some tests?

If yes, remove the battery, no power. Meter in diode mode.

Red meter lead, yes red to ground.
Black meter lead to D+ of the usb connector. What is the reading?

Repeat with black meter lead to D- on the connector.

Post the measurements for each USB port.
