Is this the same bios you asked for before at post #1 ? .What is the full laptop model number

no please. this one is 14.0 inches screen size . model=hp probook 640 g2. serial:5CG8180YCT.
THE OTHER ONE WAS 15.6 INCHES

Ok so that serial youve given doesn`t match the serial in the bios.

There are 2 different bios for the 640 g2 (also the 650 G2) , N76 and N87

Try both, you will need to use nbdmifit/wndmifit/HP bios config utility to enter the DMI info . https://www.badcaps.net/showthread.php?t=69204

EDIT: By the way,that bios you posted at post#1 "6050A2398701-MB-A02" has BID 68SCF ,its from a probook 6460B/8460P/8560p/8460w.Please make sure the bios you post is the same as your thread title in future.

I have a similar problem. the hp 650 g2 (6050a2723701-MB-a02) came to me dead, if I power it up the light on the cap lock has 5 long blinks and then a high fun spin, and nothing happens. do you have an idea what the problem might be? I need urgent help

Hello there,

i'm having an issue with this laptop when i turn it on i get a black screen and

the fan after a few seconds ramps up until full speed and stays in this state

until i power it off, tried with a few different dumps i found in the interweb

(couldn't find any here) and the only difference is that the laptop powers on

directly but still the same behavior (black screen and fan ramping up to full

speed)

Here's a dump of the original bios hope somebody can help.
