Hi my name is Kyle, I am from South Africa.

I've been working in I.T for over 7 years but I decided to start my own repair business in electronics as its so much more satisfying, I still have lots to learn in this trade and that's why I am here.

Hi I'm new to the forum posting thing usually I'm just reading them trying to learn as much as possible pertaining to whatever subject it is that I'm at that moment in time trying to fix something in. Electronics from computers to repairing car audio amplifiers. I have a craving to learn new things because I hate not being able to fix something I have when it stops working or finding something cheap that needs fixing and would normally cost an arm and a leg. Anyways I love cars to computers just about anything interesting enough for me to feel like learning to fix it.

Hi, my name is Frank. I´m from Mexico.
I learned some electronics from my dad 22 years ago. Back then I was a kid and didn't take electronics very seriously. The technology we fixed was THT (Through Hole Technology), linear power supplies, CRT televisions and the like.
I've always been interested in how hardware and software work. I spent about 2 years helping my dad, then I went to high school and got away from electronics.
Two years ago I started learning the "new electronics" (you know SMT, SMPS .. How to interpret the schematics)

I hop you guys are patient with me

PS: Sorry for my English, I'm still improving it.

Hi, I came by this forum while trying to find out why high-pitched noises are coming from a 13 years old Philips 42pfl5603d LCD TV and that if I can find a DIY solution.

                              Hi there,

I'm Alex, a frenchman who after a week of deep internet searches about T-cons, cof tabs and other LCD related thingies have found that this forum is one of the best (if not THE best) resource about cunsumer electronics.

I wish to thank the most experienced participants for their sharing of knowledge, et the lesser ones for their sharing of valuable experience!

hey everyone, im new here (obviously) I joined this fourm so I can get access to schematics. I am just starting with board level repair. done some larger soldering and been in computer repair all my life. just recently started jumping into micro and low level board repair. previously I just did kits and what not. planning on using hot air (because its not cheating if your new) and kinda picked up the basics with some youtuber's (adamont and Rossmann) I also look forward to reading everyones experiences with the repair and hope I can possibly over time contribute. probably will not at first cause you guys can all pretty much do this WAY better then me so I might as well learn from the pros.
anyway thats my intro and im sticking to it!
