Replacing tantulum capacitors with electrolitic caps?

Just like the title says can i do it? Im replacing tantulums on ps3 consoles, and im all out of them , but i do have lots of electrolitic ones... Its the supply rail of CPU and RSX video chip , some people say they create alot of noise and maybe they could be used in combination with tantulums and it should work fine? Any thoughts?

    tantalums or surface-mount polymers only.

    what are you actually replacing?
the only things that need replacing in ps3's are the tokin caps - those are ceramic, not tantalum.

Ye those tokin caps... I have run a wire outside the metal shield and connected up some electrolitics . and it works fine. Im not sure how long these would last... but eh
Hmm i always thought they were tantulums... interesting...

those wires will have a high inductance

What is printed on the body of the cap?
And yes, a piece of wire is seen as inductor in high frequency circuit.

And if the Tokin ceramic caps are surface mount MLCCs their ESL is very low.
