    Gigabyte 1660 Super not detected

    Hi to all, today I come with a new kind of fault for me, this are the best ones because with those I learn a lot about how this cards works.

    I attach the resistance and voltages I have and tell you what I have discovered.

    All I have is 5 volts and 3.3, this one I think that comes from the PCI connector.

    Have no shorts, all the possible fuses are OK and I have 2 chips on the top of the card, U13 that should give me PEX_vdd (GS9216TQ-R) and U15 that shold give me 1.8V (another GS9216TQ-R).

    As far as I know, 1.8 comes first (and of corse, the U13 (PEX) enable comes from a AND gate with 1.8 as one of the inputs), so I start looking at U15.

    It has a enable that is at cero, because it comes from a AND gate too (U509) with 2 inputs, one is 5V that is correct and the other comes from PS_VMON_PGOOD, i look where it comes from and little chip with 2 mosfet inside, (Q519 and is ok), wich first gate comes from BS_OK, pin number 30 of a NCP45491XMNTWG (chip U503).

    Since I dont know too much about that NCP4549, i need a little explanation of what it does so I can learn and know if it is correct or not.

    Any help???

    I post the schematics that im using, the boardview, the meassurements, and the datasheet of that NCP

    Thanks a lot in advance

    Did you figure this out yet? I am having a similar issue except I have my 1.8v and it stops at the pex voltage.

      Hi Guys, same here. Have 1.8V at U15 and nothing on U13 PEX.
      This kinda getting complicated

        Hi bro! Now you not have 1.8 voltage level ?
        Yep U509 pin 2 is key make signal enable to open pin 4 have 3.3v
        PS_VMON_GOOD after have when PFM_PF_BSOK good
        If all resistor is good I think you should REPLACE Q519! REPLACE not take it out!!!

            Road map voltage 5V=> 1.8v=> 0.9v PEX_VDD(GPU EN)=> 0.9-1.05v NVVDD_PHASE(vGPU)=> 1.35-1.5v FBVDDQ(vRam)

              Thank you a lot! One of the AND logic gates wasn´t getting a signal to make an output, so I bridged the output to 3.3V and I got 1.0V (PEX I believe) and other voltage output more.

              But doesn´t still get the 0.8V for the GPU core.

              So checking the board under miscroscope foundd that R555 was missing... it was placed in this pcb near the holes for the screws, seems the user did a maintenance and ripped that 0hms resistor off, I put a new one and then got 0.8V for GPU, then I remove the jumper in the AND gates and thing worked like a charm!

              Thanks again for pointing me in the right directions.

              The 1660 now is working perfectly.

              Regards

                  guys i have same card, that second after start pull THERM_OVERT* signal from 3.3V to 0.1V. by removing component i think that pulldown signal comes from GPU/removed R61, D505, Q6, but still the same/. So what can force GPU to pull down THERM_OVERT* signal ?

                    Should check U510.Pin 3 requied 3.3v! If not have 3.3v u should be replace this U510. I remeber u say me idiot,scumbad and spam.

                      if u post to all topics without major help than yes i can call u spammer. if u r really bad spammer than i can call u idiot. there was few guys who i call spammers, but just as u, they learn comment only when know help and they are now good help for comunity

                        my U510 have all required voltages. i even get pex voltage for a second but because of that THERM_OVERT* signal it goeas off by 1 second

                          If u was remove it "Q6,R61 & D505" and was checked U510. Maybe i'm wrong check again u507 pin 3 PS_NV3V3_EN => R752 => D505. I think not relate to Q6 & R61

                                I had the same problem with 1660 ti BLN0 pulls down signal , replaced all phases and all voltages came back . ( strangely phases would work if i removed only rezystors for THWN on all phases PS_NVVDD_S_THWN ex. R182 R183 R184 all voltages came back )
