    USB flash drive question ?

    Guys,

    I have 2 Gbytes Flash drive, it's detected by windows,but I can not do anything with it...it said, "No Media" on Disk management from windows...

    How can I fix it ?

      Is the nand chip death already ? it's hvpe4F3...it was working few weeks a go..
      any clues...?

        Things do work before they are broken.
        'No media' suggests the controller isnt talking to the flash.
        You could try the software http://usb-fix.blogspot.com/p/phison.html?m=1
        But with flash so cheap, I'd bin/keep for parts.

            There is some software called chip genius available here http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...ipGenius.shtml It should tell you which controller you have.

                which one is the faulty one ? the controller or nand flash chip...
                I reckon it's the flash chip faulty....

                Because the controller has been detected by windows...

                  The controller might be detected but it could also have issues communicating with the flash.
                  There is software out there for that controller.

                    That's a controller tester ? How about the firmware? is it possible if the firmware is corrupt as well ?

                              maybe some piece of software you used made the controller able to talk to the flash again...
                              Don't buy those $10 PSU "specials". They fail, and they have taken whole computers with them.

                              My computer doubles as a space heater.
