Did you get your problem solved? If so, what did you do. I'm having the same issue with a Samsung. I bought a new mini connect box and cable and it did not resolve the problem. Do I need to replace the main board?

My issue was completely different (shorted component on a buffer board). I was just pointing out that you can't rule out components based on simple tests that could show the same symptom but for very different reasons. I do not know what the final resolution of this particular problem. Perhaps post your own thread and see if you can get help from the experts.
