Sony -kv2024 pic but no sound

Hi guys; i'm here in Portugal in vacation on my house for 2 weeks since i live in US , i have here a Sony 20"old tube to watch locals with Digital box and
coaxial RF converter , i only have a solder iron and solder, i do not think it's the audio amp, since when i manual fine tune to the right i gain sound but loose pic, is this a tuner issue? also could it be a bad solder in the tuner? without my testing tools is kind hard to troubleshoot, any thoughts ,thanks

Seems more like a mismatch in broadcast standard, looks like the tv is PAL, what does your RF converter box output? I suspect it is NTSC
The tv's sound carrier is at 5.5Mhz, NTSC is at 4.5Mhz

Thanks R_J in fact TV is NTSC/PAL and has a manual switch NTSC/Pal and i keep it in auto when i want to watch Pal and NTSC auto, also if i only want NTSC i switch it to NTSC, this tv already worked and had sound with the same set up i have now, i'm thinking about opening it ,maybe there is a way to switch wires to keep it PAL only instead of NTSC /PAL auto, also this tv only has Coaxial input .I use this RF Coaxial Converter https://www.kuantokusta.pt/imagemsom...300-p-3-143288

I looked at two different kv-2024 Sony tv's and neither show a pal/ntsc switch? So it must be totally different model? The modulator seems to be pal only output? It only says what channel it outputs on, not what standard it is.
          Is this the model?

I could'nt see where this ntsc/pal/auto switch was, but I found an owners manual, and I guess it is the switch below sub volume. How does it tune if you set the switch to ntsc?, How does it tune if you set it to pal? if it tunes the same, it could just be a dirty slide switch

Hi R-J the switch goes up and down, if i switch up it's in auto mode - means it automatically changes a channels either Pal or NTSC signal, if i keep in NTSC only NTSC signal is provided .unfortunately
a don't have here a NTSC source to test if sound is good on NTSC. i don't have here any test tools just a solder iron and solder, this is my vacation house

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
                  by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Sony SLV-E780 Power Supply Issue – Clicking Sound, Need Help Identifying Faulty Component
                  by Akuanka
                  Hi everyone,

I'm troubleshooting a power supply issue with a Sony SLV-E780 VCR. The device clicks repeatedly but doesn't power up completely. I've already replaced five capacitors, but the problem persists.

Here's a video link https://photos.app.goo.gl/3Xki6yvCLn67gLX78 showcasing the sound. Based on your experience, could this be due to a transformer, diode, or another component? Any guidance on what to test or replace next would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Trying to Save - SONY BRAVIA KD-75X780F - No Picture BUT there’s sound
                  by KYBOSH
Previous owner said TV just went blank one day.
They attempted to open the back panel and yanked the power connector off the power supply in the meantime.
Easily fixed that and got the TV to turn on. Backlights come one with everything connected. Good Sign.
The mainboard shows signs of life (red light on digital audio out is on) but that's about it. Good Sign.
There is not blinking LED and the most importantly there is LED response and sound when I press the MENU button on remote control. GREAT Sign.

                  Sony Bravia KD-50X690E NO SOUND
                  by x_orange90_x
Finally got my KD-50X690E up and running after replacing the power supply. Upon testing it I noticed the lack of sound from the speakers. At first I just ignored it thinking it was set to external speakers or some other kind of audio setting. However, after actually going into settings and looking around I see nothing of this sort. I looked it up on Google and apparently a lot of people have disappearing audio on a variety of Sony TVs 🙄. I'm going to see if a firmware or software update will resolve it, if available.

Has anyone else had this happen to their tv?

Sony XBR-75X950G seems dead with a black screen but backlight and sound is working and no blinking red lights
                  by Audeze
I have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.

                  Does...
