Hi friends,
Does anyone have schematic & boardview for ACER Aspire 5733 LA-6582P mainboard ?. I need Bios Dump also( EC+ Main ).

I am having a problem on this Board its old bios file is 1024kb size. But i download from some site that file is 4096kb. now i am confusing on these bios dump. what is the actual size. i found the chip size is 8mb. but when i flash it with 4 mb file it show successfully flashed message also. but when i read that flashed file it shows only 1mb file.

Dear raaj kumar, I'm uploading acer 5742 main bios and its same as acer 5733.

Main bios is 4mb. Moreover my bios with clr me and 100% tested ok.

You should try with w25q32bv or similar chip.

Its not showing anything on screen and it also show i 1mb bios dump after i flashed. i used on w25q32bv chip it shows 4mb flashed file. but the laptop going shutdown after few seconds and it also not showing anything on screen.

Thanks ridamouh159 for your information. So i think this laptop already opened by any technician and changed that U18 by MX 25L8005M2C. so this chip is not compatible for this board. i will try with your bios dump again with Winbond 25Q32bv chip and inform you.

Yes ridamouth156 you are correct That bios chip must be 25Q32bv someone has changed by MX25l8005, they changed the PU12 also by improper chip. I think they were planned this laptop has thrown to garbage. Now its working with your bios dump with 25Q32bv chip. Display also working. Thank you again. You did a big help to me.

Hi I am having a problem on this same board. 19V input connector shows 19V ok. On PL42 it show power fluctuation. its going down from 19V to 16V, 13V, 10V, 9V. I found a cap PC1011 is short circuited and i replaced it. but the problem still. I replaced PU17, PU1000 also but problem not solved. anyone having any idea ?

Bios of acer aspire 5742 is compatible with acer aspire 5733, as both have the same motherboard numbering, PEW71 LA-6582p?

yes, its compatible. You may,however, face shutdown in 10-15 mins issue when swapping bios between these 2 boards and thats "coz of me region.

is the bios chip at U18 or at U31?
