    Original Xbox Clock Capacitor replacement?

    Hello all whom read this.

I am wanting to replace the clock capacitors in two original Xbox consoles I have and I am wondering if I have tracked down the right type of capacitor to install.

This is one from a localish supplier I am looking at getting RS cap

yes, 1000hour lifespan - divide that by the number of hours a day you will run it.

just leave the cap out - nothing uses the clock anyway.

Thanks for that, but I have no idea how long I will have the xbox on, they have been sitting around for a few years now and this might be the forth time I have fired them up for a test.

not really, a bulb wont leak and trash your equipment.
there is a buck convertor on the other side of the board - if the cap leaks through the through-hole plating the board can burn-up!

It's called a clock supercapacitor rated at 1F 250V. The one you have listed will work as the ones I have in stock have the same values. Ensure you clean the corrosion around that area though.
