    HP G2 210 X2 - Schematic / Boardview

    Hi,

    I'm looking at a HP G2 210 X2 motherboard (dad91amb6e0 rev e) which isn't charging.
No obvious visible defects, booting into Linux shows problems around smbus/i2c communications to the charge ic.

Can't really tell whic ic is resposible, hopefully you guys have any clues, or infos about that board.

    Thanks a lot.

Review the voltage of the I2C / smbus lines on the battery connector. Often there are local esd diodes that get damaged - that is their job if a transient is hit on the battery area. This damage leads to the I2C lines being stuck due to the damaged esd parts.

Oh wow, thank you so much.

Now I only need to find some time to actually look into it again.
