Re: LENOVO BIOS AUTO-PATCHER for Supervisor Password Removal

[QUOTE=Knucklegrumble;984697][ HOW TO USE THE PATCH ]
STEP 1: Flash and replace current BIOS with the generated patch file
    STEP 2: Boot the machine
[B][COLOR="Red"]STEP 3: Press ENTER/F1/etc. to enter BIOS settings

After Step 2: I cannot enter BIOS by pressing Enter/F1/etc. The machine does not respond to key presses at all. And I do not see the string with a prompt to enter the BIOS. I see only one string as I wrote: "Press Enter to interrupt a normal boot order".

OA (OEM Activation) is used to Activate Windows using OEM keys that is provided by the manufacturer. OA 2 was used for Windows Vista and OA 3 is used in Windows 10 for activation.

I can't tell by the screenshot if it's corrupted.

What model is it? Can you post your original bios dump?

Did you hold down the anti tamper switch and removed your hard drive?

No, I didn't. I'm so sorry! I was hoping that without him everything would works. And during the flashing I completely forgot about it. And I don't know how to do "hold down the anti tamper switch". Could you help me with this? Where can I find this switch?

It seems all works properly now. But I did not find anti-tamper switch at my machine.

I tried to patch a T450 but it does not work.
After reboot I can hear 5 beeps two times. After that I see the message "Press Enter to interrupt a normal boot". After I hit enter and pressed F1 to enter BIOS, a black screen appears and the system hangs.
There is no harddisk in the system and I also tried with pressed tamper switch.

This is the output from patching the BIOS:
                            Code:
Using UEFIReplace to inject 2 DXE drivers...

                            Looking for volumes to patch...
                            [1/1] NVRAM_EfiSystemNvDataFvGuid (checksum 2609h):
                               Not found... Skipping.

                            Done.

                            PATCH FILE: t450-bios-orig-1_PATCHED.bin

                            Good luck.
Attached you can find the original BIOS dump.

Some models might not have it.

Hard to tell some times with lenovo's... They have the same icons for boot and supervisor password... Can you boot into your os with original bios? Can you enter bios settings? If you can send a picture of the security section in bios

                                      Dear Maxpower,
I think mine power on time to show boot logo is appear long. May be bug or no? Do you know any uefi bios strings for check the first initialization time? (i wanna explain: after power button on, keyboard checking ok with her lights up and down. Then i have very long waiting time for backlight of screen. )
                                      Best Regards;
