SLED5517 bad TCON or main?

I was watching the Sansui 55 when the right-hand side went a little dark and then color smeared some next the screen looked washed out.I restarted and now the set has no picture or OSD. Has Good sound and backlights are bright. I am thinking TCON be they usually have pixelating or lines or stripes. as they go out
Sansui does not offer parts for this unit so anything I try will be used parts.
Should junk this crapola or try a TCON?

I would try a tcon they usually don't cost a lot.

I have an RCA RTU5540-D doing the same thing. I am pretty sure it is t-con. Only problem is finding one lol
