    Backlight issue with 19" v7

Yes its a cheap walmart v7 lcd..

No backlight upon powerup, a tap on the back of the power supply board behind the caps turns on the backlight and the unit runs fine. Ive checked for cold/bad solder joints, caps are 1000uf 25v Samxons. As un-scientific as it is could this be bad caps? or the tapping have nothing to do with bad caps..?

trying to get an idea before i order caps i dont need..

    thanks

Recheck. In fact, resolder/heat all the points with a soldering iron, as the knock seems to be symptom of a loose/cold solder point.
    Just my 2 cents...
