Hello,
I want to reset a password protected Samsung NVMe SSD from an Lenovo Thinkpad to make it accessible to reuse the SSD, the password is unknown.
If the SSD is plugged into the Thinkpad I cannot boot up the Laptop because the hard drive password prompt block it. I can only reach the BIOS settings if the SSD is plugged out.
I tried to reset the SSD via "Parted Magic" live Linux with "Secure Erase" and PSID revert on an other PC where I can skip the password prompt but nothing worked. The drive is still inaccessible.
I also tried to use the Lenovo Erase Utility: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds019026
The problem is that I cannot boot the Lenovo utility because the hard disk password prompt blocks all.
I'm worried about that the SSD is forever locked and bricked.
Anybody got a tip for me to solve the problem?
