I'm searching for a schematic for a S301LA board to make sense of all this...
I'm still working on an S301LA board where I thought that the problem was with the two A5KNA mosfets. (With some alcohol on them, you could see them thump repetitively.) After removing the 10k Ohm resistor, I supplied voltage/current with my own DC supply, connected after the mosfets to find what I thought was a bad cap, and burned up the charge management IC (PU8801). After ordering/replacing the IC, the chip fried again. However, this time power was supplied by the laptops own power supply. I thought this was very odd considering I hadn't put the 10k Ohm resistor back on the board...
Your experienced help would also be great, but I'll start a new thread for that in the appropriate place.
