    Identifying Transistors for Power Supply

    I have a power supply I'm trying to fix. I've narrowed it down to 2 bad transistors. They are marked ALG and BKD. They are smd sot23 package. Does anyone know what these are or how I can Identify them? Thank You!

    ALG - LM4040BEX3-2.1-T
    BKD - AME8570AEETBF31Z
    maybe
    but they arent transistors - so you may be looking at them wrongly

            Is having the schematic the only way to know for sure?

              I blame the CIA and Mossad.

              More seriously, even with a laser it's hard to mark much info on an ant dropping sized SMT component.

              Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

                you can look at how a part is connected to the circuit to determine if for example, it's a transistor or a voltage regulator

                  What I gave you is the 100% ... Read the "Marking code" in the datasheet , and so in any datasheet of the BDK ..

                  Hard luck stj ;

                    Re: Identifying Transistors for Power Supply

                    nice try but you could read the datasheets of the part numbers i gave too.
                    truth is a lot of codes are used more than once.
                    my databook shows some codes relate to as many as 10 or more devices.
                    it's a total shitshow

                        why dont you just get yourself a book of smd markings?
                        i have a thread on the forum with a torrent for one.
