Dell Powerconnect 2716 - PSU issue?

Hey everybody, I am not certain if this is the correct place to ask but I have a Dell PowerConnect 2716 gigabit switch that I received from an employer that works and dies every so often.

When I got it, the switch didn't work so it sat on my shelf. I did open it and inspect the capacitors and they looked fine. Nothing seems out of place inside.
I eventually hooked it back up and it worked. It worked for a while then one day we unplugged the power and it didn't come back on.

Just today I hooked it up to try to test it and it powered on as if it doesn't have a problem.

I am guessing this has to do with my power supply but I am not certain what inside the PSU cause cause this intermittent issue.

Would any of you fellows have any suggestions on what I can test to diagnose this issue? I would really like to get it working.

It looks like the PSU capacitors are a common failure on these.
I would "shotgun" (=replace them all, except the 400V big one).
3 of 2200uF, 1 of 1500uF, 1 of 100uF, 1 of 47uF but I don't know voltage or size.

The power usage is higher with more ports in use, and otherwise it could be heat that makes it misbehave.

I searched and found kits online that people sell to fix this PSU but they don't list the detailed specs on the capacitors. Would it be safe to look at the ones I have and would they identify what voltage or size I would need?

I would understand heat causing it, but sometimes the switch will be unplugged for days/weeks and it still won't power on. I don't even use it in a full out network or production network. This is a toy for my home since I am in working on my certifications.

It's totally worth replacing the caps. I've repaired a lot of Dell flaky hardware for a few $ recapping. Without troubleshooting etc. there is a risk the new caps do nothing and it's some other hardware problem. Network IT equipment like this is on 24/7 and wears out the caps in short time.

Yes, measure the size and note voltage rating, polarity and we can help you find replacements here.

Electrolytics come is certain size categories, so I would measure the height(H), diameter(D) and lead (P) spacing in mm. Lead spacing is probably 5mm for the larger caps and 2.5 mm for the small guys.
Height can be 20, 25mm and Diameter maybe 10, 12.5, 15 mm; many options there.

Do you have any favorite vendors for things along these lines? I was thinking of looking at distributors like Mouser, Digi-Key, etc. But at first glance, they don't seem to make it easy to specify caps (to sort through the zillions of types).

I use PANASONIC FM/FR/FC series, just measure the dimension of the original cap and look at the board to see what will fit into the board, also look at the leads spacing to make sure it will fit the board.
Then type in the PANASONIC P/N into the DIGIKEY or MOUSER search boxes.
