Dell XPS 9570 no USB-C power

    Dell XPS 9570 LA-G341P rev. 1.0

Hi. I'm having trouble getting the USB-C to work. There's sound when connecting a devices, but no voltage appears on the +VBUS_1 line and only 5v shows up when connecting a charger. The board was after a slight water damage but nowhere near the USB-C port or its components. Apart from water damage the board was 'attacked' with a screwdriver by previous technician, few capacitors were missing from PCH and PQ227, which is 702-5 missing and got it replaced with 702-C that is responsible for DCI detect, not 100% sure if that's the right replacement but seems to work. I'm stuck. thanks

Re: Dell XPS 9570 no USB-C power

Can you post or link a schematic if on this forum?

    TBTA_LDO_BMC 0V

The BMC interface is used by the power delivery controller to negotiate the power delivery contracts (voltage and current) using the CCx pins.

If the LDO is 0v, then no communication can occur.

Which power delivery controller is onboard this logic board?

That's what sits there tps65982dc attaching schematic and boardview. The thing is the TBTA_LDO_BMC only goes to one capacitor and nowhere else on the net
