Re: Bios and Schematic HP 840 g1 - 6050A2560201-MB-A03
Hello. I have a problem with a HP 840 G1 laptop. My bios is corrupted (my original backup gives 2 blinks) I tried the files from @ridamouh159 and they give 5 blinks (mobo failure)
My laptop has only Intel graphics. I am thinking that the 5 blinks might come from the fact that I have a different mobo. My mobo is SPS: 730808-001 and I know for a fact that the laptop was good before the original BIOS got corrupted (bad read from chip). I have spare chips and I tried flashing a new chip with no success. My programmer I am using is CH341A.
Can somebody please help me with the proper BIOS dumps for my laptop?

Thank you for the response! With this one I get 5 blinks.
Is there a chance that my programmer is to blame even if I can Wipe/Confirm Blank/Write/Verify?

LE: Thank you @andrew25 It was my mistake. I was using a brand new chip instead of the laptop original chip. HP bios is paired to the MOBO. CH341A Does not support CHIP ID chgange to match the original chip so you need to always use original chip from the laptop. Thank you very much. I hope this will help others too! Andrew's BIOS is good!!!
Please for help with bios password for 840 G1. I have dump with password for entry in bios (in attach), if you can unlock it. I thank you very much in advance.

Hello EveryOne.
I bought an HP EliteBook 840 G1 in January this Year With Windows 10 Pro Pre-Installed. Last Night I wanted to reinstall windows due to Corruption. I wanted to set the BIOS before that But There was a Password there. Damn... Is there anyway to remove that. Or Reset through SMC.BIN. Can anyone Help here Please. As HP Support Needs Documentations and ID proof.
P.S. I don't want to RIP of the Bios Chip and do Manual Flushing. As I don't know how to do that. Please Help
