Hi,
I'm getting some conflicting information and thought I'd toss it out to all of you for input.
What I have is a TTC-104 thermistor. This is part of a temp sense circuit that will drive a small 12v fan to cool components mounted to SMPS heat sink.
The physical diameter of the piece is 5.1mm measured with a caliper.
Other than what you see in the pic, there is no other writing on the part.
My research of the TTC-104 says it should read 100 ohms at 25C. Out of circuit measurements have it at approximately 100k. It does change as the temp changes. What I'm wondering, is the 100 ohms at 25C value correct?
Granted, being mounted to the heat sink it has seen its share of heat during its 12 years of service so maybe the whole issue is that the part has drifted out of spec? If this is the case, what is a suitable replacement for a TTC-104 as I have not been able to cross reference it?
Thanks for all help and responses.
