tell us what you found and fixed lol. The motor capacitor might be low value.

Sure..there is a plate on back of motor where vsc is...with a thin shim.metal gasket ..i took plate off pkate and motor turned fine by hand so i put plate and shim metal gasket back on ...it then worked...apparently it was bound up against the plate...from years of idled...my neighbor gave me it...its very interesting...even has a rotary tool..)

I was looking for a replacement pump for the MBT 250, well more specifically the diaphragm overhaul kit, then unable to source that my thoughts turned to a replacement pump / motor assy and found prices for second hand units were not meeting with my approval. In the end was able to source a complete replacement controller at a very cheap price that did meet with my approval lol.

ZD-915 vacuum pump motor mount service alert
            by sam_sam_sam
If you have this Desoldering Gun Station there is something you should be aware of the two screws that hold the motor to mounting for pump can come loose and make raddling noise

One note this unit has been repaired already once because of switching power supply regulator ic chip failure
Now this with the vacuum motor mounting issue yes I give this Desoldering station a very hard work out and use about every weekend to do some type of project

The fix is taking the vacuum pump assembly out and take the metal cover off and you will see the two screws on it

Nescafe Aeroccino, still fails with new Motor (red flashes only once)
            by juergenb
            Hi,

i am asking for some Help.
I have one of these Nescafe Aeroccino (Milk Frother) things with a bad motor.
The Motor didn´t start anymore and internet is full of users just swapping the motor for a Mabuchi RF-500TB-12560.
So i got a few of these from Banggood.

I swapped the motor and now i have a new fault condition.

In a working Frother you would press the start button, it will light red and work for a few minutes.
If you press longer it will light blue and just mixup the milk.

With the new Motor it just starts...

charnwood w821 mini wood lathe motor problem
            by sbt123
hi there,im having a look at repairing a wood lathe for my dad,(charnwood w821)the problem is when turning up the variable speed control, the motor starts to stop and start by itself,if i continue to turn up the speed it will trip the mcb in the consumer unit, there is also a slight smell of burning from the speed controll box.,Another strange symptom is the lathe can be unplugged from the mains after switching it off and the motor will spin a couple of times by itself,so far ive put a new speed controll potentiometer on and new motor brushes, ive also tested the motor windings and everything looks...

            Help identify this motor
            by mikey5791
            Hi all forum members,
Found this unknown motor discarded in a junk yard and took home for learning experience. By the look of it, I suspect it is taken out from a type of air blower probably running on ac power. I used digital multimeter on ohm/resistance scale and it doesn't read anything on those 2 black wires. So, this motor is not shorted and should be good to run.

Correct me if i am wrong on the initial test.
Can anyone kindly advice on how to test run this motor based on visible external two black wires. Fyi, i don't see any marking on the motor body nor smell anything...

1970 Metal Lathe Control Circuit blowing fuses on the 120 volt section failing meager test below 60 mega ohms
            by sam_sam_sam
I was working on this machine yesterday and I now going to use an incandescent lights instead of a fuses to figure out what the issue is with it blowing control voltage rail but this not the only issue the coolant pump failed the meager test as well as the main motor as well this motor has 12 motor wire leads instead of the normal 9 wires

This metal lathe has a weird motor setup it has a soft start motor with a “Y” and a delta type of motor winding setup and it is not done in the motor pucker head enclosure it is with four different contactors wired in a configuration I have not...
