Sapphire RX 5700 Pulse Missing 1.8V

Hi guys! I have a faulty RX 5700 Pulse which has no 1.8V. I want to repair it, because the gpu is 100% functional. Interestingly, I had the same problem a few months ago with this card. I worked a lot diagnosing and "repairing" the card (I replaced 2 caps and 2 resistors at the 1.8v line, but nothing changed). After a few weeks, I was measuring the voltages when I noticed that the gpu is hot. I plugged the card into my pc, and it worked fine. I wasnt able to believe its working. I used the card for 3 weeks and I decided to sell it. Unfortunetaly, when the buyer bought the card, the card was not working. He returned it to me, and it has the exact same problem.
    Voltages present : 12V, 5V, 3.3V
Missing voltages : 1.8V, 0.9V, 0.75V, Vcore, Memory, Mem controller

I measured the card again, and it doesnt have 1.8v pgood, so I decided to change that buck converter which is an AREK043 (maybe an MPS nb685agq, I couldnt identify it exactly). I replaced it with an AREF946 (Mps nb685a), still nothing. There is a resistor which has a 3.3V side and the other should be the pgood which is not present. If I inject 1.8v to this side (pgood side) of the resistor, tha card has 1.1V at soc, 1.1vcore, 1.35 memory, and others. Thats why I know that the pgood itself is my problem.

Any idea what to do? The resistors at the 1.8V line seem to be good, I dont know how to restore this pgood.

    Thanks for you help!

This is what i have already replaced. It was an AREK043 and the replacement was AREF946 (i think they are the same). I couldnt get an exact replacement for AREK043. (0 information on the internet about this arek043)

maybe u need some dead board of them. Now in china ic is verry hard to find

Thanks for your help, tomorrow i will try to put back the old chip, maybe there was a bad connection. If not, then i will have to find somewhere the exact same ic.

yep i think some signal pin is bad connect. u should check Capacitor of signal rail.

I found an arek 535 on a sapphire rx 5600 xt, and I soldered it onto this card, still nothing. I changed 2 resistors which were next to this chip (1 of them is connecting to pg the other is i think enable), nothing changed. I have no idea what to do with this card.

OK! Now u check 5v level. Because 5v level make a signal to en 1.8v ic

5V is generated by an FFK530. It has 3.6V vcc and 3.95V enable.

Re: Sapphire RX 5700 Pulse Missing 1.8V

I had a similar problem with the Sapphire Pulse 5600XT. In the same way, there was no 1.8V, there was no EN2 signal on the NB685A chip, the marking in my case is “AREM983”. The signal grows from the dual transistor Q1000, in general there are three of them: Q1001, Q1000, Q1021 - located near the 8pin additional power connector. In my case, Q1021 was broken, replacing it cured the problem.
