    A1990 lcd

Question. I heard that if you replace the OEM LCD on A1990 (MacBook Pro 15" 2018-2019) with another OEM LCD the T2 Chip will reject the OEM replacement of the other LCD. Can someone confirm if this is true or has anyone done the replacement on this model and has had success?

T2 is not an issue. The issue is that the market is filled with garbage low quality LCD assemblies for T2 machine so you'll have all sort of issues with no backlight, low brightness, no image, tint shift, no ALS, no camera, no true tone, etc… Better get it replaced at Apple.

As long as it’s OEM Apple Used it shouldn’t be a problem correct?

Yes, should be good if it hasn't been badly "refurbished". Good OEM pulls are very hard to find. (except if you somehow have a machine you can pull it from of course)

Ok just double checking! Thanks! I figured. We replaced a 2020 MacBook Pro 13” lcd with no issue but heard odd things about A1990.
