Download the current software from my side. You must then insert the Panel data from Dropbox. 49a95 should be with you for your panel. The others must not be inserted. I wish you success. It is correct that you now have a strange picture with stripes, since the paneld data are wrong.

    Greetings Thomas

      Greeting,
after the annual vacation, I continue with this TV.
      I have a few questions.
Do I take the software for the G5 or for the G7 TV?
The TV is a G5 but the motherboard is from a G7 TV.
When you download the software for the G5, there are G7 names inside, so maybe it doesn't matter.
How to put the panel data in the software for updating, should the name be changed in panel.bin because these six files have different names and should they all be put inside or just one and try which one fits?
In the key_panel file it says "total file size must be less than 4KB" and these files are 7 kb in size each.
Should panel.bin be in the directory Target_G7/BIN_FILES/keys/panel.bin or does it not matter?
Please give a little more detailed instructions for the whole procedure if possible.

Re: Grundig 49 VLE 420 BN - no picture

Last night I tried to insert the new software for the G7 version 7133 and the panel file (all 6, one by one).
I renamed the panel file to panel.bin and put it in the IMAGE and BIN_FILES/KEYS folder.
The blue LED and USB blink for about 3 min and 40 sec and then the TV turns off and the same for all 6 panel.bin files.
After that I turn on the TV but nothing has changed and there is still no picture.
        Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Grundig 49 VLE 420 BN - no picture

Regarding this software update should G7_Boot.bin be renamed to Boot.bin and G7_SWImage.bin rename to Image.bin or not?
My [[key_panel file (should it be [[key_panel or key_panel) is:

          # <- this is for comment / total file size must be less than 4KB

          #HDCP
          setenv startAddr 0x20200000
          saveenv
          fatload usb 0 0x20200000 /Target_G7/BIN_FILES/keys/panel.bin

          setenv tmp_cmd 'setenv panelsize $filesize'
          run tmp_cmd
          saveenv

          writePrKey 3 /Target_G7/BIN_FILES/keys/panel.bin

% <- this is end of file symbol

I removed the # character in front of HDCP, marked in red, is this OK?
Then I put panel file (renamed 49a95) in folder Target_G7/BIN_FILES/keys/panel.bin.
My panel is LSC490HN02-H02, is the 49a95 panel file right one for this panel?
I tried to update but nothing hapened better said I can`t see something is happening because there is just gray line of approx. 5-6 mm at the bottom of the screen.
Then i put back the old motherboard and gray line of approx. 5-6 mm at the bottom of the screen is the same with old and new motherboard, I did`t notice that before.

          Any new advice?

            Hi
I changed the software so that you only have to pull it on the USB. Change nothing.

I tried it with no result.
I push P+ and turn TV on power, backlight turn on, if I keep holding P+ down, screen turn off and then turn on again.
When I release P+ screen turn off, blue led keep blinking and nothing hapened for few minutes.
Then I turn off the power and turn it on again just blue led blinking all the time, the screen does not turn on....

Only swap the panel files with 49A029.
                Otherwise, try the others gradually.

There is Aswo in Croatia. Is there a specialist dealer for spare parts in your city? At ASWO there is a mainboard for G7 Chassis and your panel below 10 euros. Manufacturer number PVZ110.

I tried all panel files with no success.
Now I wonder is that other motherboard correct or is it faulty or just with incorect panel file because I don`t have feeling that update is running.
USB is just lightning not flushing for minute or two and than it turn off.
I tried to sign up for Aswo but did`t receive response so far.

Today I got answer from ASWO.
Price for this mainboard is over 157 EUR, little to much.

Of course, the other Main can be defective.

I'll send you a picture of Aswo.

I stil have price of 157,56 EUR at ASWO.

I bought complete tv with broken screen for about 25 EUR, all other working, so I was told.
I am waiting to receive it, maybe next week and then I will try with those parts.

I finaly got tv with broken screen which have picture, first i put my old motherboard in that tv and it has pictures which means my motherboard is working.
After that, I put the motherboard from that TV into my TV and there is no picture, only a line at the bottom of the screen, as before, which means that the screen is not working, i.e. some element on the screen panel is not working....
I will try to look into it (I already did it earlier).
Are there any reference voltages that need to be checked and how to determine if the chips are OK?
                            Advice is welcome...

looks like post #22 gives you the voltage rundown, if you need to remove something to get to the rest of your driver board components then now would be the time, looks like the mainboard is good to go.

                                  Hi!

It's possible that there was an issue with the installation process or that the software was not compatible with your TV. Here are a few things you can try:

Double-check that you downloaded the correct software for your TV model and version. If you're not sure, try downloading it again from the manufacturer's website.

Make sure that the USB drive you're using is formatted correctly (FAT32) and that the panel.bin file is the only file on the drive.

Try a different USB drive to rule out any issues with the drive itself.

Check the TV manual for specific instructions on how to install new software. Sometimes there are additional steps or specific folders you need to use.

Contact the manufacturer's technical support team for assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or determine if there is a problem with the TV itself.

The TV is still not working, I haven't dealt with it for a while.
I read that it is possible to cut some lines that go to the screen, that way you can "wake up" the transistors and get VGH and VGL again. Does anyone know exactly which lines need to be cut on this TV if this is correct?

Is it possible to make a hard reset without remote? I am getting the "please wait..." menu popping out and i am not able to do anything with the tv, it does not react to remote nor the buttons on the back of the tv. I have done the software update putting the USB into the USB port and holding a P+ white connecting a tv to power. Software is succesfully stored but tv gets the same error. All settings are still stored. Can i somehow delete all the settings? I cant even access the service menu with "menu" and 8500
