840 G2 Machine Is Not In Committed State

i have 840 G2 without bios chip and dump file


I put on a new chip, I put some bios file, which I had


the laptop turns on, a little slower, but it writes Machine Is Not In Committed State

you probably flash a new virgin bios thats why this massage appears on screen on boot up
search for DMI TOLLS in BADCAPS and fill the information
or search in youtube there is tons of vidos available on DMI TOOLS

No it wasn`t a virgin bios.The error was corrupt ME firmware.It has 1.5MB consumer FW as well. All the other dumps here have corporate FW,whether or not AMT is commited or not, so i assume someone has tried to clean the ME FW with "Easy Clean" or something and used the wrong FW .

I know that,i have read the whole thread.I`m pointing out that the dump you tried has corrupt ME firmware,hence the error message you have.

EDIT: You`ve asked for an 840 G2 bios before - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=90182 ,you could have used that bios with clean ME firmware

Yes i just checked,the bios had bid L71 .Rather than correct the title and edit the posts it was easier to delete the whole thread, just so members don`t download it anymore, thinking its an 840 G2 bios.... ,if you can post a link to the corrupt bios you tried i`ll delete that post/thread as well.

Try the bios posted by @peste at post # 7

You have to use HP's DMI tool. These are not available for download via HP official site but there is a collection of all the leaked ones in a separate thread.

You have to create a FreeDOS bootable USB and use the DMI tool suited for your laptop and enter the DMI data. There is a demo Youtube video link in post #7. It's not in English but will give you an idea about the process.

After a Bios update appeared "Machine not in committed state". I tried the Bios setup procedures with HP tools, but even after using them, the pc still shows this message and takes a long time to boot. Sometimes it crashes during startup.
