    Lenovo 320-15isk intermittent powerup

    Hello,
i have a curious issue with a lenovo V320-15ISK, it came for a (completely unrelated)software issue and "developed" a failure:
It doesn't want to turn on everytime, we've tested the keyboard and it's ok, sometimes you have to try to power it up using the emergency power jumper next to the keyboard connector and it powers up and stays on just fine, but several other time this doesn't work.
Once it's on, if you press the power button it turns off just fine.

i've tested a bios reflash and doesn't do anything, previously tested a BIOS update to the latest available nothing seems to work.

now it seems to work even worse, as the times it won't turn on are greater than the ones it does(it turns on briefly when you plug the power with battery disconnected, and turns off)

motherboard is NM-B241 rev 1.0 (i have all the schematics)

@senchi - disconnect the battery and test again with only the adapter.

Does this improve your power up booting?

Do you see the proper display upon power ON ?

How old is the unit ?

Is there a mechanical power button on this unit? Does the power ON button feel normal ? Could be wearout of this part or an internal power supply issue that is causing this fault.

Do you have electronic test tools to review internal voltages & resistance ?
