    samsung, not turning on,

ive just picked up a samsung tx-p50x60b, person i got it of said one of the kids hit the screen with a toy, it has a small crack but would this stop the tv from working,
when pluged in and i press the power button is green light flashed very fast then 7 red light flashes,

ive wondering if the tv had a different fault and the owners hit the screen just so they could claim new one on insurance,

yes and no.seen some 50" with cracks like that still working. seen some with smaller cracks and blown buffers.never bothered with replacing blown buffers when screen cracked.

There are times that they still work if the crack hasn't shorted the screen, Tho after time with heat and cold they eventually fail. Most of the time yes a crack will stop it working instantly, Usually shorts the buffers out when they go

Unless you can get a screen its dead.

Check the boards and if working part them out
