i ordered a modded lga775 xeon x5470 from china and it arrived last week and i only got to testing it yesterday. i put the cpu in my gigabyte ep35-ds3r motherboard whose chipset can support the cpu.
however, when i fired up cpu-z to check the cpu specs, i noticed that sse4.1 was missing from the list of instructions on the cpu. i attached an image of the problem. i checked wikipedia and it says the harpertown xeons do support sse4.1.
so i wanna ask if this is just a cpu-z display problem or is it a bios/os/microcode issue of using modded lga771 cpus in an lga775 board? thanks.
